About the Owners
Audrey Howard and her husband Peter have a cattle farm in Wettenhall, Cheshire and in 2007 they decided that they wanted to diversify into running a boarding kennels business. They have a lovely setting with close proximity to Winsford, Middlewich, Tarporley and Nantwich – a large customer base!
Being dog owners and lovers themselves, they are committed to providing very high standards of accommodation and care for their canine customers, giving the owners confidence that they are leaving their prized pets in safe, caring hands.
The kennels and surrounding area have been completed to the highest of standards, and above the required specifications.
What Qualifications do the Owners Have?
Audrey has completed several training courses, the needs of which were analysed with a Rural Enterprise Gateway (REG) Rural Skill Broker and part funded by the REG, in preparation for the opening of the kennels. This includes a course in Kennel and Cattery Management run at the College of Animal Welfare Dog Behaviour, which covered amongst other things canine first aid and dog grooming.
Audrey had gained valuable knowledge and skills by attending this training and her years experience since then. Both her and her team are well known for providing an excellent, professional service for her customers. The best testimony that they can have is that dogs who have stayed at the kennels before are very excited when they arrive back – great peace of mind for the owners!
Since opening in 2007, Audrey and her more than capable staff have done nothing but ensure that your dog has as much fun and love as they would at home. This hard work and attention to detail have earned them a 5 Star rating as an establishment for boarding dogs.
Can I have a tour of the kennels before I decide to book my dog(s) in?
We fully appreciate that you want to know your dog will be left in the best conditions whilst you go on your holiday, which is why we offer a full guided tour of our high quality facilities. To arrange a viewing please call the contact numbers provided. Please note that viewings are preferably held on Tuesday and Thursday’s at 11:15am
Frequently Asked Questions
We are open every day except Christmas Day, but we do take dogs in over Christmas (see Bookings page). Our opening hours are:
Monday – Saturday: 9.30-11am, 4-5.30pm
Sundays & Bank Hols: 4.00-5.30pm only
Please note that a £50 surcharge will be made for all out of hours drop off and collection.
Not at the moment but this is something we are considering for the future. Please watch this space for developments.
Here’s what you need and might like to bring with you….
MUST HAVES: vaccination records (proof of annual Kennel Cough and Leptospirosis vaccinations, and DHP 3 yearly vaccinations)
NICE TO HAVES: bed and blanket (no bean bags please), favourite toys, food (if on a special diet)

Yes we do. All dogs have a minimum of 3 walks per day, often more, and they receive lots of love, fuss, care and attention. Please feel free to arrange a visit so we can show you how we operate.
We have a variety of dried food, three of which are wheat and gluten-free. We also have a variety of tinned food (Winalot, Chappie and Butchers)
We charge a daily rate. This means that if your dog spends any part of a day with us then a fee is payable for that day. This is in line with the vast majority of kennels.
We take all forms of payment including Credit and Debit cards, cash and cheque. Please note that we DO NOT accept American Express.
Yes. Please call us to discuss your requirements. Please note that there will be an extra charge for this service. We can also bring your dog back for you if required.
